Well – what a fun-packed session we had in this week’s Facebook Live! I showed some of the samples from my Open House and showed you how to make the Make & Take projects from the day. Plus, there were two prizes up for grabs! First up, was the chance to win one of my Carols of Christmas Online Classes (worth £35). To enter, you need to comment on the video or share it. Each of these will get you two entries and if you place an order by 17th September, you’ll get 5 entries. You can enter here. I will draw the winner during Monday 18th September’s Facebook Live session.
Then, there was the Scavenger Hunt. this proved very popular at the Open Day so we did an online version too. For the chance to win a Gold Wink of Stella pen, you need to answer these three questions:
- Which Stamp Set features a Shy Elf?
- How many new punches are there in the Autumn Winter catalogue?
- What foil colours are featured on the Year of Cheer Designer Series Paper?
Entries close at midnight on 15th September so leave you answers on the Facebook Post here to be in with a chance
So, on to the cards!! As you can imagine, we did mostly Christmas Cards but we did include one non- Christmas project (although it did use a Christmas Die Set)
First up was a non Christmas card using the Christmas Quilt thinlits. I love the clean simplicity of this one, plus the fact that it stretches a ‘Christmas’ set for use all year round. The sentiment is from the Eastern Beauty stamp set.
- Very Vanilla Card Base (14.5cm x 21cm)
- Very Vanilla 14cm x 6cm
- Rich Razzleberry 14.5cm x 6.5cm
- Scraps Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party, Crushed Curry
Next up was a Christmas card using a non-Christmas stamp set. I used one of the flower images from the amazing Painted Harvest stamp set to create the wreath. Again, a great way to stretch your supplies! I love the extra texture that the Cable Knit embossing folder adds. I used Old Olive on my sample but switched to Garden Green for the second version. Which do you prefer?
- Crumb Cake Card Base 14.5cm x 21cm
- Crumb Cake 14cm x 10cm
- Early Espresso 7.5cm x 7.5cm
- Very Vanilla 7cm x 7cm plus a scrap for the sentiment
Finally, it was two cards at once. I love how these came together and think they would be perfect for mass production. We used the Santa’s Sleigh stamp set and co-ordinating thinlits – my favourite bit of this set is this tree. It’s so beautiful and is large enough to be the centrepiece of a card.
- Whisper White Card base 14.5cm x 21cm
- Whisper White 14cm x 10cm
- Quilted DSP 14cm x 10cm
- Quilted DSP 13cm x 8cm
- Scrap of Whisper White for the sentiment
- Scrap of Gold Glimmer Paper
