What a week it’s been!! I had to reschedule our usual Monday night Facebook Live session as I had to work late. Two 15 hour days later and Wednesday had rolled around when I managed to get home in time to do our usual live online cardmaking tutorial. Then, halfway through my phone decided to perform an update and kicked us all out!! But, after a couple of minutes we were back on line again. So, if you’re watching the replay it’s in two parts on my You Tube channel and Facebook Page!
Workload and technical issues aside, we had another fun hour of crafting with 4 more fun cards – we did a bit of watercolouring, some fussy cutting, tried out our new Glossy cardstock and I showed you a super simple layout that really packs a punch! Have a look at them here and then you can scroll down to see the dimensions and supplies for each of the projects. Of course, you can purchase all of the supplies in my Online Shop.
First up, was a variation of the card I made last week using the leaf die from the Seasonal Layers die set. This time, I made a Christmas card using one of the lovely snowflake dies. The only difference between my sample and the card I made was that I used Champagne Foil for the snowflake in my sample, but Silver Glimmer Paper for the second one.
- Whisper White Card Base 14.5cm x 21cm
- Soft Sky 14cm x 10cm
- Whisper White 13.5cm x 9cm, scrap for sentiment approx 1cm wide
- Scraps of Champagne Foil / Silver Glimmer Paper
The second card was a super simple technique using our amazing Year of Cheer Designer Series paper. I love how you can easily create a ‘present’ with just a simple square and some scraps. This would work with any type of patterned paper. My sample used Copper Foil accents, whilst the second used Champagne foil.
- Basic Black Card Base 14.5cm x 21cm
- Copper Foil / Champagne Foil 14cm x 10cm plus scraps
- Whisper White 13.5cm x 9cm
- Year of Cheer DSP 7cm x 7cm
After being interrupted by a software update on my phone, we resumed with Part 2! For our next card, we did a bit of fun watercolouring to create this really colourful card. the only real differnece between the sample and the one I made was the colour of the card base:
- Tempting Turquoise / Lemon Lime Twist 14.5cm x 21cm
- Basic Black 14cm x 10cm
- Watercolour Card 13.5cm x 9cm
For our final card I broke out the Half Full stamp set which has some great wine themed images and sentiments suitable for all year round. We also used our Glossy Cardstock to create the wine bottle which gave it a fantastic sheen to make it look just like a glass bottle!
- Crumb Cake 14.5cm x 21cm
- Cherry Cobbler 14.5cm x 7cm
- Very Vanilla 14.5cm x 6.5cm
- Glossy White Cardstock scrap
I hope you’ve enjoyed these cards. If you haven’t already watched the videos you can see them here:
