So, I’m still having fun with my Saleabration freebies – what can I say? I love the Botanicals for You stamp set (see my last post). Today, though I’ve used a different technique for the greeting – heat embossing
If you haven’t tried it before, it’s like magic!! It gives a lovely shiny, raised effect which really adds a touch of class and interest to your cards. Here, I’ve used white embossing powder which I think really ‘pops’ against the grey background, but the powders come in all sorts of colours.
The background is just a piece of the Perfectly Artistic DSP that was available at the beginning of Saleabration. If you missed out, you can still create a similar effect using watercolouring. I’ll be doing a post on that soon, so keep an eye out for that!
The flower is punched from Real Red cardstock using the flower from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack and finished with a rhinestone. However, if you were to replace it with a button, this card would make a great masculine card too.
You can use heat embossing with any stamp – so if you haven’t tried it before why not come along to my next class on 20th April where I’ll be showing you how to master this fabulous technique. Classes cost just £10 (free if you place an order of £25), so click here to book your place.
